Since its creation in the 12th century, this influential Cistercian abbey has been at the origin of the foundation of numerous bastides in the South of Toulouse and the region. It was then sold during the Revolution as a national asset and dismantled in the 19th century. Near the village of Proupiary, not far from Saint-Martory, the site offers a glimpse of its prestigious remains (Porterie, Convers building, etc.). In order to revive this site with its interrupted memory, a medieval-inspired garden of 700 square metres, similar to the monastic gardens of the Middle Ages, has been created, with an apiary, shaded and very pleasant in summer with its terrace-buffet.
