In the heart of the town, you will discover the history of the local wood and marquetry craftsmen who have contributed to the international reputation of Revel. Unique in France, we offer you a multimedia, educational, sensory and artistic journey over 1500m². Permanent exhibition : From the tree to the art object. Presentation of the forest, its ecosystem and its exploitation, wood recognition, wood industries and paper pulp, insectarium and parasitology, forest area and mini arboretum. The woodworking professions animated by automatons, gallery of the Revélois art workshops: historical centre and marquetry.
Le secret de Sophie
The Musée du Bois et de la Marqueterie offers workshops for children aged 5 to 12. A must: the marquetry workshop where children can learn this craft.
